I did it

Well I did it. I retired yesterday from the Salt Lake City Police Department. My last assignment was a Homicide Detective. I had my retirement party in the Chiefs conference room. They had a slide show of old pictures of me. I sure have changed it 20 years. I’m a lot fatter now.

What a great career I had there. I remember a lot of people complaining that worked there. I can remember some people say what a bad job it was. Let me tell you I have had bad jobs before, and Salt Lake City Police was not one of them. Not even close. Any one who ever said it was a bad job has never had a bad job.

Today the Homicide squad is taking me a Cordon Parks to a retirement lunch and a will get a nice plaque. Cordon retired two months ago and they just wanted to do the lunch once.

I will start a new job on June 9th as an Investigator with the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office. I look forward to the new challenges and not being called out at 2:00 AM. Well that’s all for now
